During the Japanese Speech Contest 2015
The Japanese Speech Contest were held on the 12th of July at the Japanese Association, Singapore. The contest was organized by Embassy of Japan in Singapore, The Japanese Cultural Society, Singapore, The Japanese Association Singapore, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Singapore and The Japanese University Graduates Association of Singapore. Guest of Honor was Mr. Tan Choon Shian, Principal and Chief Executive Officer at Singapore Polytechnic.
There were four categories, secondary school category, junior college category, tertiary category and open category. Six finalists from each category made speeches. Winners of each category received attractive prizes such as home stay including a round trip ticket to Japan.
Participants of the speech contest spoke for a five minutes. Participants made speeches by their own words based on their experiences including jokes, not to mention their high Japanese proficiency!
